PRODUCT INFORMATION

They called Julius Erving ""Dr. J"" because he played basketball with the precision of a surgeon. Erving started out in the ABA playing for the Virginia Squires and then the New York Nets before joining the NBA and the Philadelphia 76ers in 1976. In 1980 he was named to the NBA's 35th Anniversary All-Time team. In 1981 he was named the NBA's MVP and earned All-NBA First-Team honors in 1978 1980 1981 1982 and 1983. Among his many other accomplishments Erving was an 11-time NBA All-Star MVP of the 1977 and 1983 All-Star Games an integral member of the 76er squad that won the NBA Championship in 1983 and a 1993 Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. This product is a high-quality color photograph of Erving in action driving to the basket in a game against the Lakers.
